Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC), also referred to as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist (EME), might be called "the hand of God" because they offer the Body of Christ and his Most Precious Blood to individuals at Eucharistic liturgies. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (as they are properly called) must have a deep love and reverence not only for the Body of Christ in the Sacred Elements, but also for the body of Christ that stands before them in every man, woman and child. Individuals must be Confirmed, sixteen years or older, and be trained and commissioned. Additional ministers are needed at all Masses. If you are interested in this grace-filled ministry, please contact Ryan Chimzar, the Director of Music and Liturgy Coordinator, at either 651-228-3269 or [email protected]
